Previous Accomplishments Include:

• assembling over 6,000 financial documents; providing a transactional accounting and

  detailed summary report of over 70 different checking and investment accounts,

  involving over 100 stocks for a 10 year period; determining and tracking commingled

  assets.

  This asset tracing project was instrumental in achieving an amicable equitable

  distribution divorce settlement.

• organizing and filing five years of financial records for a charitable lead annuity trust

  where trust funds were commingled with personal funds; constructing a complete

  accounting of the 29 investment accounts (74 stocks), 4 margin loan accounts,

  10 checking accounts, and numerous other loan accounts; tracing the commingled

  trust funds back to the onset of the trust; preparing detailed accounting reports to

  comply with an IRS audit.

  This asset tracing project saved my client approximately two hundred thousand

  dollars, plus penalty and interest charges, by convincing the IRS that all trust funds

  were fully replaced and the terms of the trust were met.

• identifying and separating commingled funds in re intercompany loans for five closely

  related companies.

• reconciling accounts and security deposits for over seventy rental properties.

• reconstructing a company’s chart of accounts to correct overstated assets resulting

  from aggressive accounting practices.

• identifying the misappropriation of over one hundred thousand dollars by a business

  partner while reconciling accounts and correcting accounting discrepancies for an

  S Corporation in preparation for due diligence.

• constructing the books for three rental properties for a three year period to enable

  the filing of past due income tax returns, preparation of income tax returns.

• assisting a medium sized corporation (approx. 1,000 employees) during a transition

  period with preparing month end closing transactions, reconciling accounts and payroll

  processing in Great Plains.

• establishing, cleaning, and/or maintaining bookkeeping systems (QuickBooks Pro,

  Quicken, MYOB, Property Boss, Great Plains, Peachtree); reconciling inventory .

• creating budgets, enhancing cash flow management, and preparing tax returns for

  individuals and small businesses.
